(1) Only includes full divisonal units (and larger) that participated in the efforts to capture the bridges. 52nd (Lowland) Division was attached to I (British) Airborne Corps to be airlanded at Arnhem once captured but this operation was cancelled and the division did not see action. (3) U.S.A.A.F. IX Transport Command (9th Air Force) was attached to I (British) Airborne Corps during the operation. No. 38 and 46 Groups, R.A.F. were attached to IX Transport Command in order to combine all U.S.A.A.F. and R.A.F. transport assets available to the operation into a single command.
