Notes:

(1) For figurres to add up with Artillery (by Type) it must be assumed that 14 batteries of Artillerie Coloniale were based in France and are included in the Artillerie à Pied figure in the previous table which is taken directly from original source.

(2) 3 batteries of of Morrocan towed and 4 batteries of mountain artillery were part of Artillerie Coloniale units. 4 additional batteries were based in France.

(3) The mobilization plan included a further 176 heavy artillery batteries to be mobilized between October 1914 and 1 January 1915.

(4) Unable to find english translations of engineer unit acronyms.
