Notes:

(1) Pre-dreadnoughts include coastal defense battleships.

(2) Italian submarines were classified as sea-going (4), ocean-going (6), and coastal (33). Italian destroyers includes 9 torpedo vessels/scouts reclassified as destroyers in 1938.

(3) Japanese destroyers were classified as first class (33), second class (51), and third class (31). Most third class were converted to minesweepers after the Treaty. Japanese submarines were classified as third class (10), and second class (36).

(4) Italy other inclues 4 scouts and 1 torpedo cruiser; U.K. other includes 13 flotilla leaders; U.S.S.R. other includes 3 river monitors.
